Blog #4

I think it was just my passions and interests that caused me to write my snap shots the way that I did. I have been told several times now that my writing seems as if I am personally talking to the reader, which is exactly what I was trying to do. I'm a very laid back person, and so I honestly just spoke from the heart about the things I love to do, and the people I love. I mention sports and how they've influenced my life. I wrote about people that are extremely important to me. And I wrote about just random situations that I think portray my personality and my interests fully. While doing all of this, I wrote exactly how I'd say it in person. I used lingo that mostly, only I use. I used "ily," and "tyty," because those are two things that I repeatedly say. Also, it's obvious that ice cream is a huge piece of my paper too just because I'm obsessed with it. I had a lot of fun writing this paper, because we were free to express ourselves any way that we really wanted to. As I was writing my snap shots, all I really had to do was think about things that would show the reader who I am as a person, and write it in a way that I would speak it to a close friend, or someone that didn't know me.

  1. I think this sounds like a very cheerful snapshot paper! Which is not necessarily a bad thing, but it might be useful to teach us some of your personality traits that only exploit themselves whilst in a tough situation. Sometimes you have to see all angles to understand a person completely. I am totally for reading a super happy paper myself because it would be entertaining. A teacher may find more value in a different type of snapshot.
