Blog #4
I came up with this topic because, one of the most inspiring person in my life is my mother. I knew exactly what I would be writing about, it came to me like it was yesterday. Every since day one she has always been here for me especially when I needed her the most. She knows what’s best for me and stays giving me advice on both good and bad things. I feel as if I can write a book about my mom if I chose to. So when it came down to choosing a good topic for my snapshot I thought, what other way would be better to let everyone know I have a awesome mom then this.

I find that to be an interesting way to decide on which memory to use. You found one memory that really called to you and really exploded not just the moment, but the entire paper. Having a topic so central to your life must make it natural to bring out the detail and descriptiveness needed for this assignment.
ReplyDeleteI thought that was a really strong way to write your snapshots, through not thinking about a certain moment, but thinking about who those moments might be about. I definitely didn't think about that, and I imagine that using a significant figure turned out just as good, if not better than other snapshots. Having that topic/theme seems to have made knowing which snapshot you'd write about a lot easier and straightforward. ~like having a muse, of sorts~.
ReplyDeleteI also wrote about the most important person in my life, but it was my daughter, but I think you should also have a say so in what is best for you. I understand where you coming from because some mothers really know their kids better than the kids know them selves. I feel like just by me reading your blog I know your story is going to be very well detailed .
ReplyDeleteI like how you kinda changed the game by instead of writing about certain moments in your life, you made it more about a certain person, your mom and the things that she has done for you. I think by doing this you made your story very different and unique then others.
