Blog #4

Choosing my snapshots for this assignment were quite easy. I thought back to my childhood days and whatever came to mind was what I used. The humans brain only remembers certain things that have impacted you as a person. With this being said, anything that I could remember right off the top of my head, without any reminders, was important to me in some way. Then, I was able to correlate why that event was important and write about it passionately. There is no way I would have remembered something from when I was 5 years old if it was not important to my childhood and growth as an individual. That is why I really enjoyed writing snapshots. It made me dig deep and learn more about myself than what I already knew. I made connections with an older "me" that explained why I make some decisions I do today. Anything worth remembering has impacted you in some way, shape, or form. Creating my snapshots came very naturally and easily.

  1. It's interesting how you looked back from when you were little. I wrote most of my snap shots from about when I was in high school. I thought about doing some from when I was younger, but didn't know if I would've had a clear idea of what I wanted to write. I think it would've been nice if I added some snap shots from when I was little as well, because my life was completely different then!
