I Write:
Human beings can be completely opposite yet similar to one another. One could be a morning person, the other a night person. The author of Why I Write is obviously a morning person as the audience can see with the first sentence of the writing, but a night person can have just the same amount of talent as this author has. The reasons why Williams write are those of a true literary artist. The audience can see that she is meant to write. Personally, I write to get the job done. But then again, there are times that I strongly attempt to write for the sole purpose of writing and the joy it brings to others. Even though it is quite difficult to believe, humans write everyday. I wrote a story to my best friend in a text message this morning; it's still writing. It may not be with the same artistic writing as authors such as Williams but it has the same intention. Writing has always been such a tiring task just because, as a student, I have always had to write for an assignment that I typically had no interest or eagerness to complete. Now, in college, that I don't have to write a 4 page essay every week, the task of writing has somewhat improved. I thoroughly enjoy reading others writing, rather than reading my own. I prefer to call myself a reader rather than a writer. I enjoy especially reading novels that I select and know that I will enjoy. I will allow the writers of the world to do what they do best, which is write!
I think many of us faced the same issue in the past and are all relieved now that we have much more freedom with our own writing. The last part you wrote about is a great point. It seems to be much more enjoyable to read other people's writing and help them, than writing your own paper and mostly for a grade.
