Blog #4

For the most part, my snapshots are mainly about my sister and the impact she had on me.  At first, I was not sure where to start or how to begin, but then I realized a major part of who I am is because of my sister.  Everything we did, she was always there with me and always there for me.  During senior year, we had many memories that became documental in both of our lives.  We went to a small private school with a graduating class of 28 students.  Senior year was supposed to be the best time of our life.  And it was.  Our class was one big family and most of us had been friends since first grade so we knew pretty much everything about each other.  The reason I mainly wrote about senior year because those memories were most keen in my mind.  And the fact I was able to share all those memories with my sister meant the world to me.  We really did everything in pairs of two.  I wrote about that search for my own identity when I was younger because it also applies now.  We both decided to go to different colleges and that was one of the hardest decisions of both of our lives.  I chose to leave out stories from my middle school and elementary years for the most part because the memories that impacted me the most were the ones I could remember best, being senior year.  Senior year was a year I will never forget.

  1. similar to you a lot of my snapshots were from recent memory, mainly about my senior year in high school. Not only were they the freshest in mind but they were also very memorable making it something that was very easy to write about. I like how you focus your stories a lot on your sister as well, a person in your life instead of focusing more on certain random moment. It makes the story have more meaning and unique then others.

  2. I also wrote about many snapshots that were recent memories. I didn't write about a specific person like you did, but I wrote about important memories that I feel like I will never forget with people that I will never forget. I wrote about things that are also affecting me now, such as being away from home and my family.
