First ending :
The next morning, Nathan is woken up by
the sunlight coming in his room. As soon as he opens his eyes, he realizes that
it is Christmas day and that he can open his present and explain his crazy
night to everybody. Before getting up, he looks next to his bed to take the
bell he found a couple of hours earlier. “This is gonna be my proof! They’ll
have to believe I met Santa!” But he can’t find it… He looks for it everywhere
in his bedroom but the bell stays a mystery. Excited to open his presents but
also disappointed about the bell, he walks to the living room where it smells
hot chocolate ad croissants. He sees his little brother, Louis, under the tree
looking for his presents and his dad helping him out. He goes straight to them
and does the same. “Where is my present?” As soon as he asks this question to
his dad, he realizes that the present Santa gave him is not there anymore: his
present has a blue gift-wrap. Still excited to open his present but even more
disappointed than what he was before, the boy takes his present on the couch
and starts to open it. It is while going to the couch that he sees that the
rest of the fire looks exactly the same as it was before Santa came. Was it a dream? No it can’t be! I really
lived that moment didn’t I? I don’t know anymore…
“Dad, does Santa really exist?”
Second ending:
[After they came back from the magical
world]
“Okay little boy, it’s passed midnight
now, which means that it is Christmas today… Do you want to open your present
now?”
The boy doesn’t even answer and rushes to
the Christmas tree to pick up his present. He brings it back to the couch
paying attention that he doesn’t walk in the ashes that are lying around the
chimney. The gift-wrap doesn’t take long to be torn: a brand new special skateboard
becomes visible in three seconds.
“This skateboard will allow you to fly.
And guess what, it will even make your dream become true whenever you want: you
can come see me in my land with it!”
“This is amazing!! Thank you Santa!! Can I
try it now?”
“No you can’t. There has to be sunlight to
use it, otherwise it is too dangerous…”
They still talk for a little while until
Santa has to go back to his work. (Same as in the original story)
The next afternoon, when the sun is
shining and there isn’t a single cloud, Nathan takes his skateboard and goes in
the backyard to take his first flight. 1,2,3…. Nathan takes off, flies away
becoming smaller until being a small dot in the sky as Santa was before coming
to Nathan’s place.
Third ending:
Nathan decides, when he goes to Santa’s
world that he just wants to stay there forever. He goes out of the sleigh and
works with the elves and reindeers.
